Black Rhino is the evil darker brother compilation to White Rhino. While White Rhino mixed up the floor tunes with the downtempo goods, Black Rhino is all about the dance floor and it is damn good at it too. Sacred Fist opens up the offerings and Slinky Wizards offering is a good one indeed. This epic track ranges from slinky synths to full blown percussive marches and back again. Good stuff. Twisted Travellers keeps the beats pounding in a straight up fashion for their track befure Slinky returns for Fistful of Mutants, a massive and, yet again, epic number that covers so much grounds its like 3 rocking tracks mixed into one. Top quality from Slinky Wizard again. Alienated brings a crunchy plate of psy-lunch to the dark groovy psy-table.

Darshan comes up next with Black Magic, a nice spacious, yet full and powerful psy-trance work out. Sometimes it is wide open and soaring, others, tight and pounding with lots of dark harmonies. All and all yet another excellent track on a already excellent comp. Last but not least, the collabrative Planet Slink come to finish off the festivities with a nice thumping kick and bass of the "Planet" side and lots of squelchy wiggling synths from the Slink side. This thumper finishes things off in grand style.

In summary - they don't make comps like this much anymore these days. Every track rips it up still, 7 years after release. Hard to find, but a must have. 9/10
