Reviews & Discussion

Review by PKS Nov 24, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Com.Pact Records in Israel is here out with a new compilation full of groovy trance, this time compiled by dj F-Rat.

First out is a new track by Cosmic Tone (Roei Nissan). This one is a deep, groovy, morning track, with some uplifting sounds and a heavy bassline. Perfect for sunrise. Track 2 is a new track by Ultra Voice (Avi Levi) who released his debut album (Magic Sound Factory) on Com.Pact Records. This one has a more dramatic vibe, builds up in a progressive way and become darker than the first track. Then we get a track by Intelabeam (Dan Keinan). This is an interesting track. The beat starts after one and a half minute, and when it comes, it comes hard and massive. Very stumpy bass line, going in a progressive trance kind of way. After a while, we get a little break with tribal drums and a nice ethnic sounding voice. Pretty cool track. Track 4 is by Sirius Isness (Max Peterson and Davina Elmosnino) who has released quite a lot of full on tracks on several compilations on various labels lately. They sure handles the new NEO full on style well, and here we get another example of that. Melodic full on, without becoming too cheesy. Massive sound picture all the way through.

Track 5 is by Visual Paradox (dj Bog and Uriel Ginsburg). They give us a groovy, melodic track for the morning hours. The track builds up a little, and become almost full on. Then we get a track by an artist called Apocalypse (Itai Yona). This one starts really floating, before the groovy bass line hits back, and several melodies come in. Pure morning trance all the way through. Track 7 is by someone called Aquatica (Elad Asy). This one also starts floating and beautiful, before the groove is back on track. This one becomes a bit more full on, but still it keeps the typical groovy Com.Pact style, somewhere between progressive trance and full on. Track 8 is another track (Far Away) by Ultra Voice (Avi Levi). This track was originally released on his album Magic Sound Factory, but here we get a remix done by Bizzare Contact (Didy Ezra and Kfir Lankry). This is a totally stumpy track, with jumpy sounds and a melodic morning vibe. Sesto Sento (Itai Spector, Aviram Saharai and Matan Kadosh) finishes this compilation. Pretty stumpy and very melodic. This one goes slower than all the other tracks on this compilation.

Com.Pact Records releases another typical Com.Pact release, full of groovy stuff for the morning hours. They sure have found their own style, and are for sure one of the most productive psytrance labels out there.
