Cavernous, minimal, muscular, hypnotic, and alien, but still swinging and funky. It's fitting that Plus 8 should re-release this material because for me it's rich with memories of being right in the middle of a down-to-business Richie Hawtin set circa 1995. Classic Roland drum sounds exquisitely programmed around economically laid synths resulting in an elegance and efficiency rarely matched then or since. It ain't flashy and it ain't complicated, but it damn sure gets the job done. Still sounds as fresh as the day it was first pressed.
