This CD is intense. I was given it some years ago, and it has remained in rotation on my harder playlists.
It's a bit frustrating for DJ types, because the CD has been edited together in such a way as to give the illusion of a continuous set. So bits are missing, but a lot of the best tracks are mostly complete and in very high quality (especially compared to the old, noisy vinyl editions). So there remains hope for using these tunes as mixing tools. Also, I believe the original tempos are preserved, despite the way the CD is assembled.
If you know the label, you know what to expect - A pounding overview of the catalogue. Get it!
