This new triple disk compilation showcases three of Australia's best DJs. After the success with Central Energy - Nxt Generation, the trio of Amber Savage, Archie and Baby Gee combine to effortlessly mix melodic Trance with Hard Trance and thumping Hardstyle to provide an energy packed ride.
Sydney based Amber Savage was recently voted 6 in the ITM Australia DJ Poll, with her mix the hardest of the three. She starts with her own collaboration with Archie, 'Apocalypse'. It is a searing Trance tune with a nice tribal break to spice things up. Forging his name as Tech Trance's king, Marcel Wood's 'Advanced' is also included. However, Savage acknowledges the past classics, including DJ Scot Projects's remix of 'The Second Trip' by Hennes & Cold. However, the mix turns to the harder styles, including 'In Touch With Tomorrow', which interestingly has a similar sounding flute sound to Madonna's 'Hung Up'.
Disk Two features Archie who placed 11th in the ITM Australia DJ Poll. He mixes in some of his own productions including 'Enrapture' and his remix of 'Teenage Idol', a collaboration with Anjay. Focusing less on the banging Hardstyle, Archie's mix includes the brilliant slice of Trance by Martin Roth in 'Shockwaves'. 'Hypnotisin'' does keep the die hards happy, with gated riffs and tough beats.
The mix ends with Fijian born Baby Gee, who slips in the haunting atmosphere of Mark Norman's 'False Vegas'. It moves straight onto the epic Trance sound of 'Close Encounter' by Plynn. The Tech Trance rework by Mac Zimms of Sunstate's 'Horizon' is an absolute monster, shifting from distorted synth stabs to melodic strings with aplomb. A surprise inclusion is the Psy Trance tune by Infected Mushroom, with 'I'm The Supervisor', successfully amalgamating a humming bassline with rock vocals.
This is a great overview of the harder genres present within Australia's dance scene today, the three DJ's offering a wonderful listening experience whilst showcasing their skills.
