Reviews & Discussion

This CD is the first time I ever heard hardcore and includes some popular tracks by Dyewitness and Ultra-Sonic. It also includes Here's Johnny and Speed which were tracks which made the Australian Top 40, in fact Here's Johnny went number one in Australia for a few weeks in 1994! The CD is an excellent representation of the rave scene in 1994 and are tracks that defined that era and include some hidden gems, most notably The First Rebirth by Jones and Stephenson. The mixing on this CD is awful (anything mixed by George Vagas is awful!) but its full of excellent anthems which still get played at parties.

This for me always takes me back to the good old days. When a "rave" played all types of music in one floor space. This CD plays as one track and starts off slow and builds up from techno to banging gabba. Well mixed by Vagas , for me a classic Australian mix.
