This is maybe one of the best CD from the DJ Line serie. Not entirely Italo House, not exactly Eurodance yet; the possibilities with the genre were then open and the releases were good overall. Joy Salinas is doing a great job on "Bip Bip", which includes a sample of "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer. Jesse Lee Davis is recapturing the feeling of "Arena House" with "Is This Love?" (blink to The KLF). Cartouche, despite cheesy lyrics and rap, brings in a nice track. The Two Boys are funky to death with the catchy "I Won't Let You Down", while East Side Beat are doing a cover version of the Christopher Cross classic "Ride Like The Wind", here offered in a completely modified Italo club mix (not on the single). Notice the "Club Beat" clone of "Mr. Vain" - the costs of having the original Culture Beat version on the compilation were too high.
