The "Deep Wireless 1" compilation consists of pieces collected in a Canada-wide call for submissions on the theme "Radio Without Boundaries - what is your culture?". This radio art compilation was created out of a small portion of these submissions and represents the many talented radio and sound artists across the country. This set was created with the sole purpose of disseminating radio art and is for radio use only and not for resale.
"Deep Wireless 1" was produced by New Adventures In Sound Art as part of the Deep Wireless festival, a month-long celebration of radio art - May 1-31, 2004.
Tracks CD1-01 to CD1-03 are excerpts from a larger work entitled "The Little Man In The Ear".
Tracks CD1-05 to CD1-07 are taken from the Fortner Anderson album "Six Silk Purses".
Track CD2-09 is an excerpt from a larger work entitled "Surface Documents".
