This was one of the first disco records I bought years ago when I was first getting into that older stuff, and it served me very well as a primer. I taped it and threw it in my car, where I could drive around rocking out to absolute disco classics like Loleatta Holloway's "We're Getting Stronger" and "Hit and Run", First Choice's "Dr. Love", Salsoul Orchestra's "Runaway", and lesser known jams like Moment of Truth's "Helplessly" which remains one of my all-time favorite disco songs. Expertly disco blended in the late 70's style by Walter Gibbons, this album takes you right back to when all this dance music and deejaying stuff was really kicking off in a big big way.
