Despite the compilation title, there are some tracks which do not fall in the Goa style. "Eye Trippin", for example is certainly far from Goa. “The Return Home” is a quiet, progressive trance track with little or no hint of psychedelia. And also the end track “Exquisite Sin”, is certainly not a psychedelic trance record but has an incredible 303 programming which would be a shame not hearing. Whatever kind of trance you like (or dislike!) you should know this track.
This release like most Distance releases has been very widely distributed and usually sells at fairly low prices. It includes smashing Goa classics, quality non-Goa tunes and a filler track or two. For the price you usually pay for this it's still good value for money. Essential is not, but it's still a sweet compilation if you consider when it was released ;)
