Reviews & Discussion

Rated 2/5

I personally didn't like much of this album. Most of the tracks remixed here are a lot better in their original form (You can find much of these tracks on various CD's from the "Ultra-Lounge" serie on the Capitol label). My thumbs up would go to Wagon Christ and his remix of April Steven's "Do It Again". He keeps the old flavoured touch of the song and the whole thing sounds like a weird christmas track. Eat Static is doing well with "Caravan", adding a funky touch to the exotic feel of the original. Some moments with Gus Gus remixing Leroy Holmes and Omni Trio remixing John Barry, but nothing quite memorable. And don't expect much with the "James Bond Theme" re-re version: the melody is barely recognizable and, just like the moby version, it's just bad.

This is so much fun! It has absolutely NOTHING to do with electro nor lounge, but is full of joyful remixes of highly cinematic stuff like James Bond Theme, The Good Bad And The Ugly - yes, I know that sounds plain stupid – but if you like The Rip-Off Artist and Atom Heart in the role of Eric Satin you’ll be on the level for this one. List of contributors to this silly melody mix is truly impressive and the final result is something absolutely shaken (not stirred).
