Just how good can a compilation get?!? In my ears this still is the best old school compilation. Just check out the tracklist: X-Dream, Pleiadians, Slinky Wizard, Hallucinogen, Sheyba, Technossomy... THE acts that defined an entire era and music style! There isn't a single tune here which I wouldn't rank as marvellous. Trying to explain the level of excellence of these tracks would be as pointless and redundant as pointing out the most valuable Faberge egg... It is almost impossible to chose an all time fave' from the extensive Flying Rhino Records catalogue, but force me to it, and this is my pick! Eight classics delivered by eight genre defining acts, accompanied by a trippy as hell cover art, add the hisotrical importance of this release and there you have it: 5/5. No questions asked. I can hardly think of a better overview of the initial, goanish sound of this influental, now defunct label.

very hard- to find compilation which was the first from the infamous Flying Rhino label.
Mostly a pretty well- rounded comp with a few gems on it that stand out fronm the rest of the tracks. Ceratinly the Slinky Wizard track Funkus Munkus is truly one of the best tracks Slinky ever did - psychedelic and deep and tribal, too. Such a superb track was truly meant to be pressed onto wax. The Slinky Nuns track has a very old school Goa taste to it- nothing like the release on Tip Singles 3 which was more techy and less Goa. I found that the tracklisting on the records has a strange correlation to what was pressed- Slinky Nuns with Hallucinogen.. hard and deep; Sheyba with Slinky Wiz- tribal and dark; Technossomy with X- Dream- techno-y and not as deep. An interesting selection of tracks but well worth the money you'll spend on acquiring it.
