Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5

Matsuri Productions has attained quite a bit of fame and acclaim amongst classic Goatrance lovers. I can safely say, this CD has some contribution to that status.

Digitalis (aka Shakta) starts us out with some proper oldschool intricate psychedelia followed by XIS. Now, I wasn't too familiar with XIS before this CD, but this track just grabbed me by the gonads and swung my mind about a bit ! Top stuff ! The Spacecat track doesn't really follow XIS too well, but its a decent track nonetheless. I always like Tsuyoshi's work and Kollage here is no exception. The Freeman track really wasn't my cup of tea, neither was the track by Scare-Electric, which is drum'n'bass..? (i'm not really much for genre's so dont crucify me here) Very A grade stuff by Quirk too with Dark Matter - superb track!

All in all, an easy 4.5 of 5 stars!

Exceptional tracks: 1, 2, 6!!
