Dj Morpheus' first instalment of FREEZONE is TRULY a merriment of sound & a homage to Ambient Music of that time & any time. The wondrously uplifting Avalon track 'New Frontier'. The truly heart rendering 'Save The Whale' by Solar Quest are only a few I can think of. But this is really is an example of Ambient music in its prime years.Don't really get this kind of genius so much now.Superbly mixed, but not to ruin them or for the sake of mixing.Very subtle. The next instalment, was also great, the others never really lived up to the 1st two, but still a man to listen too by all means!! Horizontal Wonder!

This is an excellent starter to wet your tongue when you're looking for old and new music. It has led me to many other ambient artists and releases, and stands out from the rest of the "Free Zone" series in that it is more oriented on the, hmmmm, I dare say "classic" ambient side than the chill-out/lounge stuff. Highly recommended.
