The Delta’s opening track. A futuristic track released in 1997 but will not sound dated in 2017 ;)
Andreas Kruger’s “Downhill V.2”. Remixed by Massimo Vivona, the track is exactly Vivona’s style – progressive, quiet, slowly building yet irresistibly groovy.
Next comes “Spiritual Healing” by The Muses Rapt, the perfect morning track. On disc 2 we find a remix by Juan, Domi & Jorg. The remix sounds very much alike but it has a long intro. I prefer the remix to the original since the latter starts abruptly.
Simon Posford & Richard Trevor of the Green Nuns of the Revolution give us “The Loin Sleeps Tonight”. It starts with some funny singing as if by some drunk but suddenly the chant is swamped by loads of ”hallucinogenic” sounds. You know what it means when Hallucinogen is involved ;)
The late Jake Stephenson together with the underestimated ambient genius Matt Hillier give us “Cloudhopping”. This track starts with a soft ambient synth, more melodic layers are gradually added and a mid-tempo beat slowly drops. This track is taken from the overlooked ambient album Microcosmacrocosm.
Disc 2 opens with a M.W.N.M. remix of Quietman’s “The Sleeper”, again another remix with that super recognizable Martin Freeland sound. Next comes “Power Of Celtic” by Shiva Shidapu, a collaboration between Erez Aizen of Infected Mushroom and DJ Jorg. Don't let the Scottish bagpipe put you off :)
Following are Astral Projection and Cosmosis. If you don't know the Cosmosis track then you don't know Goa ;) The Green Nuns of the Revolution give us another generic acidic track of their's, “Klunk”, named after the mechanic and inventor of gizmos of the Wacky Races cartoon :) You can hear Klunk's voice sampled in it.
Hallucinogen is next with “Gamma Goblins 2”. This version has more sound layers than the original, and samples not just the melody of some goblin film/cartoon but also their voices and sounds. Super favourite of mine!
Disc finishes with another perfect morning track by CHI A.D.; “Astral Warrior”. This is one of the most powerful Goa tracks I know, and the remix (found on Goa Head 6 amongst) is in my opinion better. Only drawback here is that all intro is cut off to fit to disc :(
Everything else here is worth checking. You surely get your money back for this.
