The last one from this long running series in which the music is still from the “golden era” of Goa trance. This volume came out in January 1999, so obviously all material is from 1998. The new emerging progressive sound of goa of the time does have a bit of influence on this release. And also the innovative style of new acts like Xerox & Freeman and Tarsis can be found here; but nevertheless this double CD still retains the vibe of the golden era of psy-trance which saw its end sometime around end 1998.

Subsequent volumes from this series have written on them “the new generation” which is in fact what I am trying to explain above.

Never mind; on this volume 7 try Big Troubles In Outer Space, Broken Spirals, the eternal Hallucingen remix of Jana, and Space Tribe’s track on disc 1.

On disc 2 I love them all, especially the closing “Darshannan” where once again we find the touch of Simon Posford. It’s progressive, but still has the “Hallucinogenic” sound manipulation!
