I remember when I first got this album in 2000, it was a nice change of pace from what was currently being played out in the Chicago rave scene (ie: House, Trance, House, & more House). I had heard Gabba before but it was the mostly slower paced Rotterdam style. In my opinion this was FAR superior, and opened my eyes to the H20 label, and Omar Santana in general. Superb DJ skills are displayed on this mix CD.

This is a nice studio-mix and presentation of the sound of the H2OH label. This first mix-cd in the "Hardcore for the headstrong" serie has a nice pace and Omar shows his good mixing skills. Although all tracks are from the same label there is enough variation in it and the whole sounds very energetic.

This cd was released in a time a lot of crap in this genre (in Holland) came out. It was back then a relief to hear hardcore techno still mattered to some people.
