This tape marks the first time I ever heard a lot of the tracks featured here. I loved these tracks so much I later had to re-purchase this as a CD and much later I scored some of these cuts on 12". I'm still trying to get some of these tracks such as Case Closed.... wish me luck right ;)

The mixing as stated above, is absolutly horrible. Whats worse is this is exactly how DB mixes for real, something I found out when I went to an "oldschool" night at the Capital Ballroom in DC. Even so, I have to give him credit for putting this tape/CD mix out which certianly helped in getting me hooked on the most beautiful dance music ever created.

With a versatile track selection covering some very important and influential artists in the UK breakbeat/hardcore scene from the early and mid-90's, this CD is a MUST-HAVE. Because the tracks included cover a wide range of BPMs (roughly 135 - 165), a good portion of these tracks are "crash-mixed," which is just simply timing when records will slam in and out. When dB does beat-mix on this CD, it's not very clean at all. Regardless, 5-stars - these tracks are unforgettable.
