About The Holy Mushroom

A very mixed compilation. Given the time it was released, it contains a lot of rather dark and spooky tracks that were quite out of the ordinary for goa trance compilations. About half of the compilation is in that style. It may be a personal matter if one likes this (and for me, there's too much of Tim Schuldt's dark influence here).

But whats really creepy is the post production of the compilation - if there was any. First, the volume of the individual tracks varies a lot - CD2 is significantly louder on the first 5 tracks for example. And second, the sound quality of some of the tracks simply sucks big time (for example, the otherwise beautiful MoS track is way too heavy on the bass, which could've been easily fixed with some decent post production/mastering).
