The 'Propulsion' behind the Marc Aurel vs Chris Isaak two-tracker is NOT David Forbes the link above implies - it's a one-off by a DJ who, naively, assumed that the name wasn't known and used, hoping to then use it to take off to future fame and fortune*. He used to work in the DJ/MI trade, have contacts with the DMC label at the time and submitted the mix for possible inclusion. He was stunned that this thing he put together in the space of an afternoon was accepted - and they paid him for it! Hey, not much, but it funded his bar tab around PLASA that year.
