this was my first Ministry of Sound album and also my first real step into electronic music. i had no idea what to expect the first time i listened to it. i was no dissapointed to say the least. one thing i like about House, Club, and Trance Nation Americas is that because its a two disc compilation, you get a feeling for each of the DJs and how they work. House Nation America presents two very different styles. Little Louie Vega is much more latin, disco, smoothe sounding. Eric Morillo has a much harder sound (these two guys were new to me at the time, so bear with me). at first i thought eric morillo was too hard for my liking, but eventually it grew on me. the gatecrasher summer soundsystem covermount cd that little louie vega did is another example of his style. very latin, very international. if youre looking for classic house music mixed by two of the finest djs, this is definately one for your collection.
