Reviews & Discussion

Without a doubt, this is one of the shining jewels in the crown of German label Mille Plateaux. While MP is mainly known for so-called "microwave sound" and abstract techno releases, this 2XCD compilations brings together extremely diverse bands such as Beequeen, Fetisch Park, Zoviet-France and Oval. No less important than the music is the cause itself - its a dedication to French philosopher Gilles Deleuze who killed himself some time before this compilation was released. If nothing else, he was a very complicated person and so were his writings, but thankfully one doesn't need to understand his works in order to enjoy tracks presented on the compilation.
