Infinity Hz is a fantastic (if impossible to find) 2 cd compilation dating from 1996 and pretty much covers Matsuri's "classic goa" period. Sure today in 2004 some of the tracks sound a bit dated here and there, but there is a wonderful spirit here that you just don't find much these days and in all honesty, this cd gets a lot more play time even today than many of the "new great" releases.
Many of these tracks are well known from their 12" E.P. releases, but suffice to say, there are a number of excellent old school tracks, from Power Source's "Goaway" to two versions of Bass Chakra's "230,000 Miles" to Transwave'S "The Rezwalker" to Prana's two contributions to this comp. A number of these tracks were 12" e.p. releases, so having them on CD is yet another reason to hunt down this comp.
The end result - Classic classic stuff here. DJs looking to add a sudden large scale quality infusion of Goa to their collection would be well served by this comp and plain old lovers of "Goa" shouldn't be without it. Highly recommended 8.5/10
