Kid Loco's JESUS LIFE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12 INCHES is an excellent remix compilation, even if the US tracklist varies slightly from the French version. The Pastels, whose lead singer provided vocals for "Love Me Sweet," have their track "The Viaduct" done up in typlcal Kid Loco fashion. His mixes of Uriel's "You Who Are Reading Me Now" and Gak Soto's "Penetrare" are slightly mysterious, while both Polar and Pulp get gentle, rock-folksy remixes of their respective tracks. Kat Onoma's "La Chambre" receives a somber mix, a lazily brooding track. "The Air I Breathe" from Badmarsh & Shri becomes a rhythmic torch song; post rockers Mogwai have "Tracy" transformed into a buzzing, humming head-nodder. The strange "Youpi," with its vocal squeal, starts off as a simple piano and beats track, then adds the vocals and some strings. And, finally, Bang Bang's dark and moody "Believe" receives a mostly beatless mix. When the beats kick in towards the end, it just cements the track. Another strong entry in Kid Loco's outstanding history.
