An absolute steal of an album!
Those familiar with the Kranky label, will excel in delight for the 'exclusive' tracks from 'Stars of the lid'( a lush 8minute somnolent soundscape) & Pan*America. For those not too familiar with the label(like me) will love this also, as a great insight to what it appears to be, an exceptional, experimental & exciting label.
This is superb music in the 'post-rock' genre, so those familiar with Sigur Ros & God Speed...(who sadly, are not featured on this Comp) will TRULY love the servings laid up on this bargain priced 2cd. Sonic soundscapes, breathy type guitar drones & muffled ambient techno are all on show in best possible examples of each.
