Just to clarify, 'Jump' is by Chaos AD (Squarepusher) and the Midas Touch remix is indeed by Hell Interface (BoC). A great album and probably my favourite in the mask X00 series. Other notable tracks are the Gescom (Autechre) reworking of Boogie Down Bronx and Håkan Lidbo's trippy mutant spawn of Bowie's 'Ashes to Ashes' with a genuinely terrifying vocal distortion. The only problem is that this thing is limited to 500 copies and tends to sell at extortionate prices. You might be lucky enough to find it somewhere on the web in digital format.

This isn't really a review but more of an observation, but anyway, I have it on good authority that the Midnight Star remix is not actually by Hell Interface (aka Boards of Canada), but that they actually did the "Unknown Artist" remix at the start of B1 (the one with the kid singing nursery rhymes in it). This would make sense in a way as the B1 track sounds a lot more Boards of Canada than anything else on there.

The Hell Interface (Boards Of Canada) mix of Midnight Star is fantastic. Without beeing cheesy or ironic they keep the vocal of the original and put it on a foundation of trademark BOC synthlines and beats. It's done with real love, a wonderful mix of IDM and R'n'B! It should have been licenced and put out as a single.

A Superb record & one which is EXTREMELY hard to find..Believe Me!!

Highlights are the first track on A(no title), A great minimal electro mix of Yazoo's 'Midnight', An old school hardcore mix of 'Jump' (unknown artist), A great DJ Tool of 'Give Me Tonight' by Sonic Beat Alliance & THE track on this record.THE Reason why I even bought this record: 'Midas Touch by Hell Interface'(Boards Of Canada to the layman)...Not forgetting a BIG BEAT MIX of 'Save A Prayer' by Anodyne (sounding weirdly off-key)& totally immersed in filters & reverbs & PHAT beats for the masses. This is an excellent release.Admittedly, this is the 'only' MASK release I own & I admit, I am incredibly lucky to own this..Cost Enough on E-Bay though & fetching all kinds of Monetary attentions when on Auction.Nuff Said!
