Reviews & Discussion

Rated 3/5
Review by Brandes Sep 14, 2007
Again this is a disappointment from Louie. It's not a bad compilation and there's some cracking tunes on there. It is of course well mixed as usual.

But seriously, how many times have Souffles H, The Way I feel, Show Me, Brighter Days, It's the Music and Hold On been on other Mix The Vibe comps? It's very tiresome to be honest no matter how stellar those tunes are.

Maybe he could have digged deeper although admittedly he is rather constrained by having to pick songs/tracks from the King Street Sounds/Nitegrooves back catalogue. Nevertheless, perhaps he could have remixed those songs to provide a different slant and make them sound fresh?

I feel that King Street Sounds has to take a long look at the Mix The Vibe series. Either licence tracks from other labels so we're not hearing the same stuff all the time or alternatively, ask Kerri specifically to do another Mix the Vibe with all his new productions on it. That would be fresh.

This is a good cd for people who haven't got any King Street vinyl or their mixes. However, it's a waste of time for anyone else unfortunately.
