This was the first i got in this series of compilations, and it is still the best in my opinion. One look at the tracklist takes your mind straight back to the fantastic musical revolution in the middle of the nineties. They are all repersented on this single cd; Coldcut, Massive Attack, K&D, Tricky.. and the list goes on. Every single track is great and reflects a great time in music history. If i could have one compilation from this decade, it would be this one.

This really is a great compilation. If you like any of the individual artists in the compilation, I think you'll find something in the other tracks to light your fire. Imagine yourself in a smoky bar, kickin' back after a long hard day. You rest your cowboy boots on the table, order a dose of the firewater, light up and drift away. You close your eyes. You're James Bond, Shaft and John Wayne all rolled into one. You're in your own nouveau western. The soundtrack to that movie is Rebirth of Cool Phive.
