This compilation is an excellent example of what techno music is becoming...very intelligent sounds...I have purchased both the LPX2 and the cd...drive around in your ride and turn this up while cruising thru the night...unbelievable tracks...I love the Maetrik track "funnels" too bad its not on the LP for playing out..:(

In keeping with the cover/title, there seems to be a "static or interference" type of sound to many tracks, which is not as bad as it sounds. This cd gets better every time I listen to it. Listenable and moving.

A lovely compilation from one of the world's leading Techno labesl from Berlin .
You put on this CD and the world starts changing .. Wicked groove, a bit queer at the beginning , but before you realized that the music changed, you're hooked . From that moment on this CD is taking you along on a ride through adventurous soundscapes and , sometimes distorted , funky grooves. This is NO Dancefloor stuff , as you know it . But it got an enormous drive, depth and the potential to keep you grooving along . Repeated litening comes automatically when the thirteen mainly unreleased songs or remixes from the experts for this special sound (sometimes called Minimal or Micro Tech/House) do their thing . WeltZwei , Sten, Jake Fairley , Maetrik, Metope or the UK Techno Icon Minimal Man deliver the hits . There is the perfect name for this style on one of the album's track-titles (from Sender Chief Benno Blom himself) = "KNISTERPOP" .. Expertedly mastered by Loop-O at Berlin's famous D+M (Dubplate & Mastering) and packaged, this CD version holds 5 titles more than the Do-LP . Real Fans will probably buy both versions . The CD for relaxing and uplifting home-listening adventures and the Vinyl for playing on serious soundsystems at Higher Volumes - Both excellent choices.
