Iboga. Queen & King of the Danish proggressive trance scene. Hell, possibly the entire progressive trance scene! Up there anyway. Here they are treating us with a bunch of tracks originally only available on vinyl. Let's see what the Iboga sound anno 2003 can do now approximately 2 years after its release.

It does as good as ever! Everyone familiar with this label will know that Iboga has a unique and very distinguishable progressive sound. Well, it's as traceable here as anywhere else. Minimal, dark, repetitious, evil at times, they have created a niche of their own and this album bears proof to it. Don't expect psychedelic FX mayheem! It's the little things that count here, and my choice of brand when applying for a ticket to psychedelia. This music won't do the work for you, but it sure clears a path ...

Listening to it at home is, however, sometimes challenging. This type of music really comes to its full potential only when enjoyed at a festival. Still, when I put my focus on it, this type of music has one sure spot on the soundtrack of my life. Insisting, dark, mystical, edgy, laid back, progressive motherf......

It's funny. I've been listening to many new progressive compilations lately. None of them matches this release from Iboga even if it has almost three years on the back. Iboga just IS the shit. Fans of progressive will definitely enjoy this great Iboga compilation.
