Reviews & Discussion

Rated 4/5
Review by Jikkenteki Sep 27, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
This is an solid release from the Rhino crew in the newer psy-styles. Some is more minimal/progressive and some is more in the full on catagory. From me however what really matters are two tracks. While I have mixed feelings on the minimal trend, I do admit that when its done right it can be very good, and Son Kite does it up very right on Youngel. Deep and tribal to the core, this monster is for me so good that I have a hard time even really listening to other Son Kite track. On the completely different side of the spectrum, Biodegradable's Ayakhustyx is a full on-ish beast that I absolutely love. Imagine full on robot burps and yelling and you will have a good idea what's going on (think PsySex's Experimental Procedure stripped down and a bit harder). Great stuff. And as if these two tracks weren't reason enough to buy it, the other 7 tracks are pretty good too. Well worth the money for the range of tracks you get. 7/10
