As above. This CD was indeed the soundtrack of 1992 with an all-star lineup from top to bottom of the best Seattle had to offer to the Grunge Massiv. The best tune being the lesser known band Mother Love Bone's Chloe Dancer / Crown Of Thorns. Rest in Peace Andrew Wood. The Lovemonger's cover of the Zepplin tune, The Battle Of Evermore, is also a highlight.

Released at the high point of the grunge scene, when it was still fresh and exciting, this was a who's who of the Seattle scene. All the big names - Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney - some history in the form of Mother Love Bone (Stone and Jeff from Pearl Jam's former band), Jimi Hendrix, the former Replacements singer Paul Westerberg and the Heart off-shoot The Lovemongers. There was a slight stretch from Seattle to include the Smashing Pumpkins and a dip into the slightly less commercial side of Seattle with the Screaming Trees. As a soundtrack for one of the main Gen X slacker movies, this was THE compilation of 1992.
