Yes, it was upfront at the time but who is going to play any of these tracks 2/3 years down the line? If you're thinking of buying a Homefries cd then please buy the following:
DJ's Take Control Vol 1
Mix the Vibe
Club Nervous Vol 1
The Irma Master Mix Medley
This is the Sound of Tribal UK Vol 2
The above are absolutely essential and are needed by any Garage/House fan. This mix certainly is not.
As for the Spen mix, that's better for me but it still has its faults. Song/track wise it's superior albeit slightly obvious. Moreover, it seems rushed as the mixing isn't as good as it should be. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination but certainly doesn't compare to his Garage City or Soul Heaven mixes.
Spen is an incredible DJ live but seems to sometimes struggle to get his vibe down on a mix cd which is a shame.
This compilation is not essential in my opinion.
