Sure the music is good - but why wouldn't it be? This comp rides on selections made by earlier, much better collections. In short, it's nothing but a rip-off, with no desire to bring us any new songs, any better sound quality or any new info about the much-loved French ye-ye girls.
The title is stolen from 'Swinging Mademoiselle', an excellent, well-known bootleg comp from 1999, which gives you some idea of how lazy and unoriginal this comp is. Plus no care has been taken to research any of the artists; the liner notes try to pad out the thinnest amount of info.
Seek out one of the better CD collections like Femmes De Paris, Sixties Girls, La Belle Epoque or keep an eye out for original copies of the bootlegs Swinging Mademoiselle and Ultra Chicks.
