referencing The State Of E:Motion Vol. 7, 2xCD, EFA 01517-2
CD 1 is rather laidback & eclectic with lounge, chill, breaks & house, while CD 2 offers all styles of techno: from very experimental & abstract to more banging or darker stuff. Dating back from 1999, electro is also very well represented here!
This resulted in a cheap compilation full of quality music by loads of well-known names in many different genres, making it a great way to discover new artists & styles.
Personal "discoveries" at that time included: Gabriel Le Mar, Freq Nasty, Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Rhythm & Sound, Surgeon, Justin Berkovi, …
Unfortunately, the recent bankruptcy of EFA also meant the end for many of the great labels that they distributed (like Spiritzone)
