This has got to be one of the best releases I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Apart from containing the 4 LP's of Xen Cuts (Which are fantastic in their own right), the real treasure for me is the inclusion of the "Missed, Flipped & Skipped" vinyls. Kid Koala's "Drunk Trumpet" (Live At The Metro, Chicago) and Saul Williams "Twice The First Time" are two highlights of many great tracks. However my favourite, is Quincy "Bruce Lee MC" (Butchers Edit). With it's Oriental vibe and rolling drums that seductively reverberate as they turn themselves inside out, this track never fails to transport me to a magical place.
This boxset is an incredible compendium of top quality artists showcasing outstanding tunes. Like a fine wine that improves over time this must be uncorked and savoured. A must have for any collector, especially one with a love of downtempo and future jazz. Ninja Tune I salute thee!!!

It almost goes without saying that this collection is hot. You might hear it, like it, buy it, and listen to it, but you don't really realize how good it is until you have listened to it for a couple of years... I think a lot of the tracks on this compilation have a timeless quality to them - I never get tired of hearing them.
