V 1.0 + Intercortes contains tracks from 1996 to 1999, and another series of projects (Intercortes) and collaborations like the two bonus tracks: "Heaven Says Move
(Reassembled By Vate)", by Vate+Cranberry Conspiracy, and "Trip to Ensenada (Vate DF mix)" from Fussible.
Vate shows varied influences like Kraftwerk, ambient and a little electro, with the intelligent use of samples of important meaning and support. The Intercortes series represents the work made for the Electro MX project at the beginning of 2000. The electro dark perspective allowed him to explore his political preoccupations, with samples of political speeches reduced to the absurd in the labyrinth of a mechanical society ( "El primer mandatario" and"Impunidad") and the surprising flight of " Manga", that reveals Vate like an eager sound hunter . Other Excellent tracks from this work are the dnb braks in "El pecado mainstream" and even darker sounds in "Vicious and rotten" with strange and martial vivid strings. It is a CD that is worth to have.
