What a release! I'm pretty sure "Free Yourself" changed my life! As someone else said, words are hard to describe and express the energy and greatness in these tracks. Thanks for blessing us!

This is probably one of the most original Chi town releases EVER! Can't see how it could get any better.Every track on this ep is a pure classic piece of house history.

This is one of my favorite records!!!

Everybody's has his favourite, but "R U hot enough" is the one for me here. OK, the sound is not that good, the production level is low BUT : what you get here is a real corker of a tune which starts with looped pianos, fierce drums (remember, this is 1986), then mourning strings rise in the background, and finally synth stabs build some more tension, only for some more strings to soothe it all at the same time.
What is soul? This is, I'm not going to argue about it!
It must have sounded like it was beamed from Mars on dancefloors, back then.

Difficult to speak about music that must be heard to be believed.

I was just thinking about the few amazing Virgo tracks that I've ever heard. Thought I'd check out the comments for 'Free Yourself' and so must add some more high praise. It's the only one I've heard off the EP so far (it's on the FK Essential Mix), and indeed it is deeper, more atmospheric, and colourfully-textured than anything. A strange piece of transportational beauty. Very hard to believe that such a track could ever be conceived at any point in time. As though when you stop listening to it, it has ceased to have ever existed.

This is one of the greatest moments in dance music, period. Marshall Jefferson and Adonis showed everyone how it is done waaay back in 1986, with the barest of equipment making classic deep house, back in the day when this kind of music was all called simply house music. All four tracks (ranging in mood from sleazy to relaxed) are unique, however it is "Free Yourself" which sets this record apart. This track is a deep, dreamy, atmospheric masterpiece that will amaze even the casual music fan, the minute the needle hits the groove - an absolute classic!!!

"My space" is one of Marshall's darkest (and best) tracks ever, with a KILLER murky 303 bassline and dramatic synth strings that make you shiver in sweat.
