Amazing! We all heard it about a thousand times, and it never got annoying. A fact, you won't expect from a song, you can also find on uncountable releases with titles like "Best of 80's", as well as you can hear it on public radio even today quite frequently. This catchy tune seems to be highly influenced by (maybe even stolen) the melody of "Human League - Being Boiled".
The french seductive vocals were sung by Brigitte Arens, who was Rusty Egan's girlfriend at that time. Sadly no more information about here, but as she starts to sing:

"Un homme dans une gare isolée
Une valise a ses cotés
Des yeux fixes et froids
Montre de la peur lorsqu'il
Se tourne pour se cacher"

... a whole generation is getting a flashback and the climax of a music period, called "New Romantic", is defined.

The most brilliant electronic piece of all times, blah blah blah... Can't say anything new about this truely amazing song.

However,
if you just after an extend version of this song - you won't find it here. You have to look for the one which is 6:44 mintues long (see below).

This is this poor exuse for a 12" "version" (if you can call it a 12" version at all). The song simly repeat itself twice. There's only one cut just before the chorus repeats to fade out, straight to the first verse, and goes again till the ends. that's it. What's the point of releasing a 12" if it doesn't contain a 12" version? I could never understood that.

Later, Visage did release an awsome extended remix for this song, on a remix EP, which also released in one of their hits collection. But that remix had never been released as a stand alone 12". Pitty.
