I was lucky enough to hear both this and the raw (and in my opinion better welly warehouse mix) of this tune back in the day!!! Pure class, especially over the huge bowlers sound system!!

This tune is massive, I first heard it on the Isle of Man, when DJ Welly (producer) brought over a tape with the two tunes on. I was DJ'ing that night, and subsequently gave him a lift back to a party after the gig and he said put this on (in the car - tape decks in cars back then!) and said that it was only just about to go to press. Luckily for me I still have the tape as he left in my car, just glad he had another copy or I could have inedvertantly stopped this ever getting a vinyl press!! Get a copy if you can as it's a belter, when piano house met trance, very innovative. DJ Welly (IMO) never got the credit he deserved back in the day, possibly his name held him back (he did/is doing alright though) but, I'd put him up there with the likes of Graeme Park, Mike Pickering, Tom Wainright, Nipper (for his scratching) and Sasha for being able to work a crowd. I've been lucky enough to work alongside some of those DJ's so I've seen 1st hand how they did it/do it.

I'm surprised to find we've reached 2010 without a single comment on this release. I understand that this was relatively unknown when first released (i myself never heard it until around 2002), but the internet and subsequent circulation of so many great DJ mixes has finally given it the exposure it rightly deserves. Both sides feature great tracks, but for me it will always be the Seductive Mix of Orcana. Coming at a time when progressive house was young and piano house was still going strong, there was a short-lived but great period where the 2 styles fused producing some phenomenal tunes and this is a definitive track, if not the pinnacle of the genre. Uplifting from the moment it starts, it just builds and builds, occasional vocal drops of the familiar "ultimate seduction" sample, until the pianos finally kick in 3/4 of the way through. And so worth the wait. This tune is huge. I envy anyone that was lucky enough to have heard this being played out back in the day; i missed it completely.
