A beautiful loveletter to one of the greatest singers of all time. Dilla-disciple Wajeed goes crazy behind the boards with rare Marvin material (including his 1982 appearance at the Ostend casino where he lived at the time) and delivers an excellent EP. Some of the production might be a bit hard to swallow as it is more aimed at beat junkies than classic soulfans. Shame that the last cut on the A-side samples the same "Music" vocals Erick Sermon used five years earlier for his tribute to Mr. Gaye. Still this is an amazing piece where you can feel the passion for Marvin Gaye's music.
