Peculiarly 'green' acid trax. Really does lend itself to what it says on the label. I've certainly wasted enough time over the years discovering new layers in the quasi-acidic marshes of 'Hydro Weed', 'Northern Lights' and 'Digital Hemp' - virtually every time I play them after a gap. At the very least, on most tracks here, Damon Neloms shows off another imaginative way to use the ubiquitous 303 - listen carefully or you might miss it. Check out the crystal-clear bell-like ping (with tell-tale tremolo!) of the machine, undoubtedly passed through some ring modulation, on 'Tubular Fan'. Or the supple, detuned droning on the magnificent 'Hydro Weed'. If you like smoking and you like acid music, why isn't this on your shelf?
