Before Westbam became a German Techno/Trance superstar DJ he was influenced by artist such as Afrika Bambaata and Coldcut. Prove of that influence can be heard in his first releases, of which "Monkey Say, Monkey Do" is his most well-known. The track has a very edgy breakbeat groove with punky vocals screaming " Aah monkey say, monkey do" vocals on top of it and still sounds great today even after all these years. Unnecessary to say this is always in my flightcase for those special occasion.
