While listening to this album, it put you into another state of mind. As I listen to this album, images of Nordic snow covered landscapes, snowstorms, log cabins crackling with fire in the fireplace, and dark forests creep into my mind.
This album is incredible in it's mood evoking ability, the melodies of the acoutis guitar, synthesizers, and piano enchant the listener, pulling you down in Satyr's ancient world.
Just so there is no confusion,
there is no "Rock" or "Black Meta"l here although black vocals are used very infrequently.
There is great proud Nordic singing along with some sections of whispered passages.
In fact, most of it is just notes singings.
Brilliant memorable melodies played with the acoustic, synth, flute, and piano that along with the singing transport the listener into the depths of his or her imagination. Perfect for listening to on snowy days or at night in the dark.
