This record brings back memories for me of vinyl shopping in Luton's Bluebird/Soulsense Records back in the day, copping 12"'s freshly imported from the US, many of which I'd never heard until the guys behind the counter put them on the decks. From the openeing fight sounds to the raw beat that drops this was an instant classic with not, one, not two, but a whole crew of MC's destroying the competition with quotables for days, The Wu had arrived and I was buzzing when I bagged it up and took it home, it must have been glued to the turntable for months, at least until the '36 Chambers' album came out. The original version of 'After The Laughter' on here is so raw and when this came out was the perfect remedy to the cleaner productions around. If you collect vinyl and are a fan of the Wu then you really need to own this 12".

the first single from Wu Tang as a collective.
released independently on Wu Tang records, this was picked up by Loud who helped it reach a wider audience

the 'bloody version' (A3) on here has all the swearing still in......on the 36 chambers album and other releases it's been edited out. so pick up this 12" if you wanna hear their explosive debut in all its glory!
