Listen to this album, and i promise you'll not be dissapointed. Yahel at his very best, mixing psy and progressive trance to the very maximum. The highlight is Intelligent Life, with gripping sound and lyrics; "Intelligent life beyond this planet".
Yahel - Waves Of Sound makes you feel like floating through the universe on acid.

This album is a very uplifting goa album, and for the most part its an above average release. I'm sure many hardcore Goa enthusiasts would dismiss some of the tracks as too commercial, but it still retains that Goa sound predominantly. Definitely not as hard, brooding, dark, or acidic as most Goa albums are; rather, the tracks very similar to Astral Projection works in their sound (but not their quality). The album is not very diverse since the same synths are reused in almost every track. Standout tracks include Last Man In The Universe, which is the track for which you should buy this album. Otherwise, most of the tracks in here are not particularly interesting, creative, or entrancing.

Fabolous album! Yahel is GOD. Uplifting progressive psy trance!
Two tracks makes this album worth buying alone (#8 & #9). However the whole album is great, my favourites are #1, #2, #8 and #9.

#8 Last Man In The Universe
- Gorgeous track. The sample-use is perfect, great lyrics. Perfect goa trance!
"I know it´s hard to understand this now.
We aren´t always meant to know the reasons,
why things happen the way they do.
Sometimes we just have to accept it."
[Lyrics taken from the movie Contact (1997) by Robert Zemeckis.]

#9 Intelligent Life
- Best progressive psy trance song ever. No question. Simple lyrics (only one sentence), but at the same time really spacious. Pure Class. There's intelligent life out there!

This is an acidic experience! Great album with a lot of good tracks, but I will concentrate on one song; #Intelligent Life#.
*Intelligent Life* is more progressive trance than psy/goa, but still with the same psychedelic feeling. When the "There Is Intelligent Life Out There" voice enters the track really starts to get going. The track never gets boring, but the higlight is @4.43 when I always get this exciting feeling; hard to describe.. this track is simply a journey through space and time. Should be recognized as one of the best progressive trance songs ever! Sadly it was never released as a single...
and if you haven't tried it out... listen to this track when driving (fast)! It is simply the ultimate car song!

Also take a good look at #1 Going Up (Trance Mix) and #8 Last Man In The Universe. Simply wonderful music! However everything on this album is pure quality! 5/5

This is in my opinion the best psy-trance / goa cd of the year 2000. The creativity that Yahel Sherman put in this album is absolutely amgnificent. You hear it in all the songs. The basslines, melodies and sounds perfectly match.
Waves of Sound was for me the cd where it all the started, the album that got me deeper into goa and psychedelic trance. Although I never saw Yahel at a gig. It was always a dream for me to see him play a set. But after this album it became clear for me that he lost the Waves of Sound feeling forever.
The music that he makes nowadays is easy-peasy trance. Well produced, but not for me.

This is the record. the one and only. This is the best definition to melodic psytrance that i have yet confronted.. melodies are soft and smooth, hypnotic, the bass is alive and the tracks are mixed altogether to form this unique voyage into the rhythm of trance.. Unfortunately, Yahel changed his style after this record. Anyone needing energy for a dark and heavy day will find their salvation from Yahel - Waves of Sound. 5/5
