A must have. It gets deep in your ears like honey and you can't forget it. Is part of my year 2001 soundtrack. Perfect for driving in a big city at night.

From the label that can (almost) do no wrong comes one of its best releases ever. Shallow and Profound is a remarkable album, mixing jazz, ambient and downtempo with a Eastern European tang. The second disc of the limited edition features longer, live versions of the original songs, but I think the originals stand up much better. My favorites tracks: "Milonga Del Mar" and "Pabadam." Classy all the way.

This one has grown and grown on me. At first I wondered what all the hype was about, now I really like it, very much looking forward to his next album.
