"Face The Wound" was originally commissioned in 1995 by spoken word artist and bandleader Henry Rollins for release on his 2.13 CD label. Unfortunately work on the project was delayed due to a terminal diagnosis of Z'EV’s mother. At this point he stopped all his projects and attended to her throughout her illness. She died in April of 1997. By that time 2.13 CD was also defunct. In 1998 he returned to work on it, completely revising what he had done so far, and recorded it in the summer of 1999 for its eventual release by Soleilmoon
