The thing I find most brilliant about this 7" is that the tunes work at both 45 and 33rpm. Using the A-side (my favorite)as an example: At 45rpm you have a splatter-break monster that just barely hangs on to its rhythmic structure, shifting between solid ragga mash-up and atonal mess. But at 33" (plus 4 or so on the pitch), its a whole different story, a strange and dubby atmosphere that kind of lurches from section to section. The flute melody at the end just amazes me at this speed.

This is a disturbing record: being into DJ Scud´s (and the like) mashup style and thinking i´ve heard it all, this record taught me the complete opposite. Jungle yells, alarm sounds, mashed up amen beats, nice sung lines from a root reggae track, and all at the same time! Listening to it for quite a while now, i still switch my favorite track: today it´s the A-side, tomorrow the B-side. What a great piece of vinyl!! As digitalworldnet.org put it: "[ZFE].. knows how to produce the heavy distorted ragga noise but is in not forgetting all the headbangers out there... this guy has real long hair - and headbanging should be his thing. If we wouldn't know better we would say: SHIZUO is back, every control on these hot tunes is lost.."
