This is an american import.'SAD' Initially released records in England.The first was a ltd. self funded affair.2,3,4,6 & 9 were distributed by Kudos.The label was run by Nobby Bollox who after SAD 4 moved to California.Big D carried it on and released SAD 6 & 9.In America there was an original 12" called Zone Smut/Down on all 4's on the 19th hole imprint.The track was written by DJ Jeff Scott & the legendary promoter DJ & producer Steve Pagan(The man who lent DJ Shadow the full set of breaks & beats albums he sampled to make his'Lesson' track).The original is bad arse and not on SAD 8.The remixes are by Ontario's Legion of Green Men aka Plus 8's Incarnate,NY's Sub-Dub and Londons Mark Broom & Dave Hill.The Record was distributed by Submerge in Detroit and only a few were imported to the UK.SAD 5,The Gaslamp 7" & SAD 7 'The Molly'-Rub Ultra 12" were also USA product.This is quite hard to find and also one wierd record.The Incarnate A-side mix is a dubbed out acidic trip which speeds up at the end and loops in an eternal opuscule.Mad stuff.
